Well, the time has finally come. We are all packed up and ready to hit the road and will be leaving early tomorrow morning!
Although we had originally imagined leaving San Diego in mid-November, things just took more time than we thought and the van ended up needing a few additional upgrades. By now the van is practically like new, nearly every part has been replaced and it’s running beautifully. Here’s a picture of our home for the next year or so:
We will be cruising down Baja for the next few days and will post an update once we’re at our new home base in San Jose del Cabo. Tomorrow we plan to drive 8 hours south of the border to Catavena where we’ll camp, then we plan to visit Conception Bay for some snorkeling.
We are so excited to embark on this adventure- to see new places, meet new people, and to learn about the world out there. I can’t believe the day has finally come! Thank you again to all of our family and friends who have been so enthusiastic, supportive, and helpful. We couldn’t have done it without you!
