Here we go!

Hi everyone! Welcome to our blog. We are getting ready to hit the road and I just cant believe that it’s all here! We’ve gotten our vaccinations, given notice to our jobs, and now we’re just taking care of some last minute preparations- which include installing a new engine in the van. Aron is working on that mechanical feat while I am tasked with desinging a solar system, making an awning, and putting together our travel kitchen.

Aron has been working away at the van and nearly has the engine installed. He put in a new radiator, took out the old a.c., and has been working hard on all kinds of stuff that I don’t really understand. Here are some pics of the greasy old engine and the shiny new engine.

We’ll hopefully be hitting the road in mid-November and so far havent made any specific plans besides driving down Baja California, spending a week or two at Aron’s dad’s house in San Jose del Cabo, and then taking the ferry across the Sea of Cortez from La Paz to Mazatlan. The rest will come in time.
